Must-haves in my makeup bag

As someone who isn‘t fond of thick makeup, these are my must-haves in my makeup bag: sunblock, concealer, tinted balm, brow pencil, and definitely a spare pair of coloured contact lens! My choice? The OLens Russian Smoky in Olive!

My regular make-up routine

1. Sunblock

After skincare of toner, moisturiser and then sunblock (my favourite being the La Roche Posay Anthelios), I’ll then start to conceal, conceal and conceal. 2. Concealer

When that late night panda eyes start to appear, conceal. When a new annoying pimple starts to show, conceal. My current favourite’s the Make Up Forever Matte Velvet Skin. I’m currently on the 2nd ”bottle” and a little goes so much!

3. Brows

I have sparse brows so filling in those spaces are important! But when you want a quick fix, Benefit’s Goof Proof Brow Pencil is the way to go! When I have the time, I also add on the Gimme Brow+ Voluminizing Eyebrow Gel for that full brows look.

4. Cheeks - Lip Tint / Balm

I used to love Benefit’s Benetint but that bottle is usually too big to carry out. So I’ve since switched it to Laneige’s Tin Tint Lip Balm.

This tint goes onto my cheeks and to my lips so it is great as a 2-in-1 product. Not pictured in the photo is also my Sunnies lipgloss that I carry in my handbag regularly.

5. Olens Coloured Contact Lens

Finally, I always carry out a pair of coloured contact lens based on what I wear. You know how sometimes having a dramatic colour lens in the day is just too much?

With the one day contact lens, you can instantly rev up your look! The other items in my cosmetic bag then helps to touch up and glam up my look!

My favourite nowadays are the Olens Olive colours. As much as they seem to be “green”, I actually like how they look with my Asian dark eyes. I usually rotate between Scandi Olive, which costs $21 USD for 10 pieces for daily ones and sometimes the Spanish Real Olive. The Spanish series doesn’t yet have a daily version so it doesn’t quite go into my makeup bag so Russian Velvet it is!

Sometimes I also put in my non-coloured clear contact lens!
